What can I say? The openness of the sky, the starkness of the landscape . . . It's so beautiful. I love the bundle of sticks on the father's back, that he and his son are holding hands, and the addition of the pig is surprising and unexpected . . . I'm not sure about the addition of the lens flare (I'm going back and forth on that), but wonderful shadows, and the characters have great appeal.
I like this a lot, as with all of your work. The glare comes through great; I squinted when it first appeared. This may be irrelevant, but I'm drawn to how the boy and man are looking at the 'camera', but the little pig isn't. The people remind me of skittish animals that look toward the camera's click, while the pig's drawling, "Keep moving, it's just a camera. I'm cold, this sweater's thin, and I want to go home." It's charming.
